Directions to the Villa Club Holiday Village - Kyrenia Cyprus
- Drive out of Ercan airport, go straight over the small round about.
- After 4 minutes drive turn left at the junction and follow the sign to Lefkosa (Nicosia).
- Carry on straight (west) for about 2 miles, you will come to a round about with a sign pointing right towards Kyrenia (Girne in Turkish). DO NOT turn to right there, go straight accross towards Nicosia (Lefkosa in Turkish).
- Drive approximately 15 minutes, passing through 1 roundabout and 3 sets of traffic lights, you will come to very large round about. Turn right at this roundabout and go towards Girne (Kyrenia)
- Drive about 15 minutes- about 12 miles. You will climb up and down 'five finger mountains' When you start decending from the mountains drive couple of miles and go straight through the underpass (If you want to go to the center of Kyrenia-Girne DO NOT go though the underpass, just filter off to the left before the underpass)
- Drive straight through the underpass, you will pass 2 sets of trafic lights. You will go through 3 roundabouts. After the third roundabout you will come off the dual carriageway into a sigle lane road, go about 2 miles and turn left just by Yesiltepe petrol station. It is sign posted from there. After about 200 meters from the petrol station turn right, go to the end of the drive and we are there. You can park at the Villa Club car park
- From Larnaca airport head for Nicosia (Lefkosia), cross over to the Turkish side, go sraight over the first round about. Turn left at the second roundabout and go about 1 mile (1.5 km). Turn right at the traffic lights

Several airlines fly from various airports of Europe to North Cyprus. These flights require a touch-down in an airport in Turkey. Usually touch-downs are about 40-45 minutes. The international airport in the North is called Ercan Airport.
Ercan airport is 20 minutes drive to Nicosia. Famagusta 30 minutes and Girne (Kyrenia) 35-40 minutes. Major airline companies flying to North Cyprus are, Turkish Airlines, Atlas Jet,Onur air ,and Pegasus.
Alternative route is to fly to Larnaca airport located in South Cyprus and we will arrange a taxi transfer for you or you can hire a car. The drive from Larnaca airport to Kyrenia is roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Ercan Airport versus Larnaca Airport:
Although the 45 minute touch-down in Turkey seems to be extending the travelling time, when you consider the 1 hour 45 minutes of driving from Larnaca to Kyrenia, coming through Ercan airport seems to be more sensible. Ercan airport is a small airport; not as busy as Larnaca airport. The time to travel from Ercan to Kyrenia is about 35-40 minutes, so it covers the loss of 45 minutes caused by the touch-down. Also crossing the border between South Cyprus and North Cyprus can be time consuming.
Getting AroundPublic transportation in North Cyprus is very basic; far from efficient. So you are highly advised to rent a car during your vacation in North Cyprus, as getting around with taxi's can be very costly. Amazingly, cost of car rental is probbaly one of the cheapest you can find in the whole world. Car rental rates are very reasonable, depending on the type of vehicle and the time of the year. Prices start from 18.00 GB pounds upto 40.00 GB pounds per day being amongst the most expensive. Pre-booking your car is advisable, you will benefit from pre-book discounts.
